The concept of Global village is a reality and nations must gear up to meet the challenges and opportunities of the New Age. Human resources are among the most valuable resources that will make or mark the future of nations. As barriers crumble, access to human resources will transcend borders. The education sector will open-up in ways that have not been dreamt of earlier. We have to anticipate global trends and needs and act in advance.
It is imperative for developing countries like India to not only integrate with the global
trends but also try and keep ahead of it. India's greatest asset is the fact that at the start of
this millennium we are a 'Young India'- our population largely comprises of the young and the energetic. India must harness this young pool of talent by creating world-class
infrastructure in education and higher learning. We cannot afford to miss the bus and for that it is essential that private enterprise should join in to create centers of higher learning in engineering, medicine, management, information technology and other streams. It is also necessary to ensure that a balanced growth is achieved in setting up seats of higher

I am strongly convinced that establishment of excellent Technical & Management
Institutions is the real solution to the problem of development of balanced eco-commercial society. Keeping this view the Nav Sahyadri Charitable Trust, Pune has been established on 31st May 2006. It has an aim to create equal opportunities to everyone irrespective of
